There are many amazing facts about February. February is the month of love. In addition, February is the third and last month of meteorological winter in the Northern Hemisphere.

 

  • The stone of February is the Amethyst stone. This stone is a purple quartz and is a blend of violet and red that can be found in every corner of the world. The name comes from Ancient Greek, which means “intoxicated.” Ancient wearers believed the gemstone could protect them from drunkenness.

 

  • The flowers of February are the Iris and Violet. February birthdays are represented by violets or irises. These flowers suggest loyalty and faithfulness. The three upright petals of an iris bloom can indicate courage, faith and wisdom, or friendship and hope.

 

  • The pet of February is a Chameleon. Chameleons have become popular as exotic pets because of their unique color-changing capability. The purpose of this color change is for communication, and to regulate body temperature.

 

  • The animal of February is a Parrot. They are colorful, quite intelligent, highly sociable, and long-lived creatures.
